excellent trek in the foothills of Annapurna offers you
one of the spectacular views of the Annapurna Massif (8091m),
Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri as well as a beautiful chance
to have a close look at the culture and day to day life
of the Gurungs and Magar people of Nepal.

DAY
01 : KTM/ fly PKR/ drive
SUIKHET /trek DHAMPUS (5200 ft.)
After
breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Pokhara.
Our trek guide will meet you at the Pokhara airport. Drive
from Pokhara to Suikhet Phedi (trek starting point) for
approx. 30 min. From here, the trail ascends steeply through
forest and later through paddy field to the village of Dhampus
for overnight camping. Lunch will be served en-route
DAY
02 : DHAMPUS/ SARANGKOT (5200 ft.)
5 - 6 Hrs. Walk If the weather permits, wake up early in
the morning for sunrise and good photographs of Mountain
View when rays of the Sun comes river the mountain. Today
the trail descends down to Dhampus River (Stream) and after
crossing the river, trail ascends gradually through the
paddy fields and small forest to reach Naudanda Village.
Here walk about 10/15 minutes on the road. Lunch will be
served at Naudanda Ridge. After lunch an easy walk for 3
hours through the Chhetri and Brahmins Villages to reach
Sarangkot for overnight camping. From where you will have
the view of Pokhara City, Phewa Lake and spectacular views
of Annapurna ranges and Machhapuchhre.
DAY
03 : SARANGKOT/ POKHARA / fly KATHMANDU
After breakfast, an easy walk for 1.5 hours down to the
Bindebasini Temple, from where drive (approx. 20 min) to
Pokhara airport to connect your flight back to Kathmandu
or overnight stay at hotel.

DAY
01 : KTM/ fly POKHARA/ trek MARDI KHOLA (3600 ft.)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight
to Pokhara. Our guide will receive you at the Pokhara airport.
Drive from Pokhara to Lama Chour, the starting point of
your trek (Approx 20 Min). Your trekking crew will receive
you here and start trekking towards the SETI River. The
trail ascends for about half an hour till you reach a hillock.
Excellent views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchare (6191
M) also known as FISHTAIL for its resemblance to a tail
of a fish with twin peaks, is seen from here. Lunch will
be served here. After lunch you descend to the bank of SETI
River and follow it for approximately one and half hour
to reach the small trading village of MARDI. There is a
suspension bridge to get to the campsite which is on the
other side of the river.
DAY
02 : MARDI KHOLA / GHALEL (5500 ft.)
5-6 Hrs. Walk Your day starts early as we would like to
maximize your time, plus the views are always better in
the morning. Wake up with Bed-Tea around 6:00 A.M., followed
by a warm bowl of washing water. Make sure you pack up and
leave your bags outside your tents before going on to breakfast,
which will be served around 7:00 A.M. After breakfast you
walk along the bank of the Mardi River and through paddy
fields for about two and half hours to reach the Lunch spot.
The trail becomes definitely steeper henceforth for a couple
of hours to reach the village of GHALEL. The Name GHALEL
derives from its population of GHALAY tribe. Overnight camping
at Ghalel.
DAY
03 : GHALEL / DHAMPUS (5200 ft.)
5-6 Hrs. Walk After breakfast the trek starts along the
ridge through the forest of Mountain Oak, Maple, Birch and
rhododendron with occasional descends. Lunch will be served
en route. An excellent view of Annapurna South and Dhaulagiri
(8167 M) can be seen from the trail. It is an easy walk
with occasional gradual descends along the ridge for about
2 hours to reach tonight's campsite at DHAMPUS.
DAY
04 : DHAMPUS /SUIKHET/drive POKHARA/ fly KATHMANDU.
If the weather permits, wake up early in the morning for
sun rise and good photo graphs of mountains view when rays
of the Sun comes over the mountain. Today the trail descends
down to Suikhel (Phedi) for about 2 hours. From here, drive
another half an hour to Pokhara airport to connect your
flight to Kathmandu of overnight stay at the hotel.

POON HILL- West Himalayas view point
DAY
01 : POKHARA/drive NAYAPUL/TrekTIRKHEDHUNGA (5175 ft.)
2-3 hrs. Your trek Guide will receive you at the hotel or
Airport in Pokh
ara.
Drive from Pokhara to NAYAPUL, which is about an hour and
half drive. NAYAPUL is a small trading town situated at
the bank of MODI River. It is about an hour walk from this
place to BHURJUNG KHOLA, which passes via BIRETHANTI, a
larger Village with many Local Inns and Tea Houses. Hot
Lunch will be served here. After Lunch it is a steep climb
on stone paved path for almost a good hour and half to HILLE.
From here the trail is easier all the way to TIRKHEDHUNGA.
O/night camping at TIRKHEDHUNGA.
DAY
02 : TIRKHEDHUNGA / GHOREPANI (9441 Ft.)
6-7 Hours WalkAfter early breakfast the trail descends and
after crossing the BHURUNDI Stream, a steep climbing begins
to reach ULLERI. It takes about 3 Hours from Tirkhedhunga
to Ulleri. From here one can have a very close view of Annapurna
South and Machhapuchare - the Fishtail Mountain. Lunch will
be served a little further at NAYA THANTI. After Lunch the
trail climbs steadily through a dense rhododendron forest
for about four hours to reach GHOREPANI. Overnight in tents
at Ghorepani.
DAY
03 : GHOREPANI / TADAPANI (8900 FT.)
5-6 Hours Walk An early morning excursion before breakfast
to Poon Hill can be organised for those with a spirit of
adventure. Poon Hill is the spot to view the majestic panorama
of the Himalayas. A close up view of Dhalaugiri and the
Annapurna Massif including Machhapuchare the sacred Mountain
await for you at Poon Hill. The hike to and back from Poon
Hill is approximately 3 Hours. You may relax and sleep late
than usual if you wish not to take this option. The trail
from Ghorepani to Tadapani goes through thick pine and rhododendron
forest with occasional ascends and descends, but the walk
today may be considered flat on the ridge top as a whole.
We camp tonight near the small village of Tadapani, where
there are a few local inns.
DAY
04 : TADAPANI /GHANDRUNG (6400 FT.)
3-4 Hours Walk Today the major part of the trail is descending
downhill through scattered villages. We stop for Lunch enroute.
After lunch, the trail descends all the way to the fairly
large gurung settlement GHANDRUNG. The view of Annapurna
South and Hiunchuli add beauty to this beautiful village.
If time permits, visit ANAPURNA CONSERVATION AREA PROJECT
headquarter, Local Museum and surroundings. Overnight at
Ghandrung.
DAY
05 : GHANDRUNG /DHAMPUS (5200 FT.)
5-6 Hours Walk Today walk down hill to Modi Khola. Cross
the Modi khola, then ascend to Landrung village. Annapurna
and Machhapuchhre are clearly visible from the trail. Lunch
will be served enroute. Today the trail goes gradually up
through the thick forest with a beautiful view of the Himalayas.
Lunch will be served enroute. The trail goes through scattered
trees and bushes and starts to ascend steeply after about
an hour. The steady climb to Deurali will take approx. two
hours. From Deurali one can have a fine view of Annapurna
south and Dhaulagiri Mountain, which is the highest in the
western Nepal. The trail from Deurali descends gradually
all the way to Dhampus for overnight camping. Lunch will
be served enroute.
DAY
06 : DHAMPUS/ trek PHEDI/ drive POKHARA/ Or fly KTM
After breakfast it is an easy walk along the ridge passing
through scattered villages and paddy fields for about one
hour. The trail descends steeply for an hour to PHEDI (Pokhara-Baglung
Highway). From here drive (30-min. approx.) straight to
the airport to connect the flight to Kathmandu of overnight
at the Hotel.

OFF THE BEATEN TRAIL - PRIME TREK
TO MARDI HIMAL
DAY
01 : POKHARA / AUSTRIAN CAMP (6100 ft)
3-4 HRS Fly to Pokhara. Upon your arrival at the airport
our trek guide will receive you and drive from Pokhara to
Kande, which should take roughly an hour and half by Bus.
Your Trekking crew will receive you after you get off from
the bus and will escort you to the end of Kande village
where we can take a rest or visit the nearby village houses
for photographs while your cook prepares a delicious hot
lunch for you. Your Guide and Sherpa attendants will notify
you when it is time for them to serve lunch. After lunch
follow the narrow trail through the village to a small clearing,
from here the trail gradually ascends through scattered
forest and terraced rice fields. Our camp at the hilltop
also known as AUSTRAIN CAMP is reached in about two and
half hours from the lunch spot. Views of Annapurna South
and Machhapuchare (Fishtail) peaks and rhododendron forest
from our campsite is spectacular, overnight stay in tents.
DAY
02 : AUSTRIAN CAMP / FOREST CAMP (8300 ft)
5-6 HRS Wake up with a steaming cup of tea served by our
Sherpas in your tents, and a stunning view of the Annapurna
and Fishtail as you come out of your tents. Start trekking
after Breakfast and packing up the tents etc. The trail
is mostly descending until we reach the main trail from
Dhampus, which is flat along the ridge with occasional ascends.
Stop for Lunch at Deurali here we may get a first glimpse
of Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167 Mtrs. The trail towards our campsite
that is through dense forest and chances of missing the
trail is quite high so all must walk close to each other.
Arrive at our campsite in a small opening in the middle
of the forest. A close up view of Fishtail peak 6993 Mtrs
rises above the tall trees. Overnight in tents.
DAY
03 : FOREST CAMP / HUMAL (3095 m / 10150 ft)
4-5 Hrs Walk through dense forest of Maple, Spruce, Mountain
oak and Juniper trees. The trail is steep uphill. Once we
ascend about a 1000-ft from our Forest Camp we shall notice
a change in the vegetation. The trees are now smaller and
the shrubs and bushes along the trail are prickly and thorny.
We also notice bunches of moss hanging from the smaller
rhododendron trees. Occasional views of Villages way below
on the other side of the mountain are quite spectacular.
We arrive at our campsite at Lunchtime in Humal, where there
is a large open high pasture. Stunning close up view of
Fishtail and Mardi Himal is seen high above the trees
from our campsite.
DAY
04 : HUMAL / KEU ( 12200 ft)
4-5 Hrs. Today the first bit of the walk is again through
thick rhododendron forest until we cross over a ridge, it
is now walking through large pastures and occasional seasonal
sheep sheds. The sheep are brought for grazing in the summer
months from the village below the ridge. We walk a major
part of the trail along the ridge and on top of steep cliffs
to our campsite in Keu. A very close up view of Annapurna
South Himal Chuli, Mardi Himal and Fishtail make this campsite
an amphitheater amidst the gigantic Mountain Peaks.
DAY
05 : AN EXCURSION TO (14000 ft) And ABOVE / HUMAL
6-7 Hrs Our Sherpa Boys will wake up very early in the morning
and prepare packed lunch for you excursion today to 14000
ft and above depending on your physical fitness and of course,
the weather condition. Your Trek Guide will lead you to
the highest possible point on this trek, where you can sit
down having your packed lunch and admire the Mountains.
Start descending the same trail to Himal for an overnight
camping.
DAY
06 : HUMAL / SIDDING (6040 ft)
4-5 Hrs. Today we descend and through dense forest and scattered
village, and paddy fields to the village of SIDDING for
camp. We shall have an evening with local dance if the group
size consists of 10 or above trekkers. Overnight in tents.
DAY
07 : SIDDING / MARDI PUL ( 3800 ft)
5-6 Hrs Today we follow the Mardi River all the way to our
Campsite crossing the river more than four times on suspension
bridges. Lunch will be served along the banks of the river
at Lwang. Washing and bathing can be done today as it is
much warmer here. Overnight in tents at Mardi Pul.
DAY
08 : MARDI KHOLA/ DHAMPUS (5400 FT.)
5-6 Hrs. Have an early morning breakfast and start along
the banks of the Mardi Khola.Walkthrough the paddy fields
all along the bank of Mardi Khola (River) until you reach
at Dhampus ridge, then gradually climb uphill for about
2 hrs to reach lunch place. When you climb to Dhampus Ridge
you will have a spectacular mountain views, and beautiful
Mardi Khola Valley. After lunch, the trail ascends another
one & half hours up hill to reach Dhampus passing through
the scattered villages. Camp will set up above Dhampus village,
from where you will have the best views of Mount Machhapuchhre
(Fishtail), whole Annapurna ranges, Lamjung Himal, Himalchuli
Buddha Himal.
DAY
09 : DHAMPUS/ POKHARA (3000 FT.)
3 - 4 Hrs. Early morning sunrise view from Dhampus. Descend
steeply down to Suikhet (Phedi), from where drive to Pokhara
airport, which will take approx. 30 minutes and connect
flight back to Kathmandu or overnight at Hotel.
